Next update on or before 12 December 2009 – I’m going away

‘Tis the season for one-off and Christmas quizzes, so prepare yourselves for NW5 on Tuesday night (details under ‘One-off quizzes).  And looking a bit further down the line, in part because there’ll be no update next week, we have a Christmas quiz on 14 December in The Elephant Inn, N12 (look under Monday night for pub contact details).

One new detail on a quiz this week, which is:

All Inn One, 53 Perry Vale, SE23 2NE, 0208 699 3311, with a Sunday night quiz apparently followed by ‘Play your cards right’.

Attended a rare Friday night quiz last night in our local British Legion where we won by around 9 points and to make things worse also won the raffle for the bottle of vodka.  Don’t you just hate it when that happens? (not)  Never have we experienced so much booing.  No worries, it was relatively good humoured.  However, I do know some people who have won quizzes (usually in strange pubs) and been afraid of the consequences.  If you have any anecdotes, let me know and at some stage I might publish a couple (nothing libellous, mind).
