Chaos is dull
Great quotation from a well-known author which baffled everyone when I used it as a team name during the week leads us to some new quizzes. First of all, there’s a newly-notified Thursday quiz:
The Arab Boy, 289 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, SW15 6SP, tel. 020 8788 5154. Starts 8.00/8.30, maximum of 6 per team, first prize £40 and second £20, rollover jackpot capped at £200. Sounds a good addition to the South Lond0n repertoire and unfortunately you’ve missed a special Beatles quiz, which was sent in just too late to include. For more information, see www.thearabboy.co.uk.
One of the local papers tells me that a (‘fun and free’) Monday quiz has started at:
Kiss the Sky, 18-20 Park Road, N8 8TD, 020 8347 6444.
And I have some recollection of the following pub running a quiz before, but apparently a Tuesday night quiz has started or restarted at:
The Old Queen’s Head, 44 Essex Road, Islington, N1 8LN, 020 7354 9993.
So from a mixed week for quizzes, which I will return to at some stage, to the first question of the latest 13 Questions challenge. There will be 13 questions leading to one answer and a small prize for the first correct guess. This time I will tell you it’s a place in the UK and for starters:
1. It has at least 15 namesakes in the USA.
