New Monday quizzes:

The Albion apparently has a monthly London-themed quiz.

The Hat and Tun, 3 Hatton Wall, Hatton Wall, EC1N 8HX, 020 7242 4747.
Is it a pub? Is it a restaurant?  I’m not sure, but I believe it used to be called Deux Beers.  Apparently they are now offering a Monday night quiz, with a generous beer tab as the first prize.  Early start, as is common with many central venues…

And on Thursdays….
The Porchester, 88 Bishops Bridge Road,  W2 5AA, 020 7229  2886.
This offers a quiz with bar tab prizes and ‘Play your cards right’.

So lots of free beer sloshing around  – you just have to win it.

I hope these keep you going until my return.  There isn’t a lot of other news,  except to wish that pubs which give out food or drink credit as prizes would actually hand you a physical voucher, rather than relying on people’s memory and non-existent channels of communication.  Naming no names, as always…   And in contrast, naming a deserving name:  to wish a happy birthday to Carl, co-founder of the QuizList site, for 10 March.
