Jackpot questions where only one person in the pub knows (half) the answer!  From one question out of a selection of three questions! Aren’tchasickof’em?  This has happened twice recently.  Quizmasters, what is the point?  (Better stop this before I get to the point where I have to include ‘Glenda’s quiz hunks of the month…’ but see below…)

Two new quizzes to add:

The Coach and Horses, 173 Clapham Park Road, SW4 7EX, 020 7622 3815.
A quiz run on the second, fourth and fifth (if applicable) Thursday of the month.  On the last Thursday of the month, the proceeds go to local charity Alert.  Quiz master is broadcaster Richard de Costobadie (crazy name…)

St George’s Tavern, Belgrave Road, SW1V 1QD.  Night of the week not known.

A new ’season’ starts in the Three Compasses (Hornsey High Street) on Monday 15 September.  See Monday night N8 listings for a description of what this involves.  Of course, you can go along and play a quiz any Monday during the season, and win the nightly takings if applicable, but you have to be there for the whole ’season’ to win the extra prize at the end.
