are running a Thursday night quiz. And further news: no quiz at the Bailey (Highbury), on the Bank Holiday Monday night, and quiz prizes are now drinks. About to make the amendments on the listings, and thanks (as always) to Eddie for both pieces of information.
God! What a disastrous week of quizzes! I count myself lucky that I was asleep on Thursday by 10.30 pm and missed that one as well. Tales of woe from the Fun Boy Three, assuaged only by Irish coffees later in the week. Ever get the feeling that you know less than you used to??
Which leads me on to the perennial question – if you’re good at quizzes, does it necessarily mean that your’re intelligent? I probably know more about this question than most people do, and my unhelpful answer is ‘depends what you mean by intelligence’. If you count intelligence as something that’s measured by an IQ test, and you take the best-know IQ tests (Wechsler), you would probably have to answer ‘yes’. Why?
