I gather my post about ‘awful quiz’ last week didn’t go down well with someone! Three things:
1. Sorry (that PH had to listen to your objections to it; he doesn’t compile the site, try mailing me).
2. Sorry (that I forgot to mention that the QM appeared drunk and the beer was warm).
3. Sorry - there is worse to come next week when a quiz of surpassing awfulness is described…

Whether the quiz I described actually favoured the other team through chance or manipulation is questionable. However, there is no doubt that some quizzes are bent - maybe only once in a while but most of us have seen results manipulated. NC and PH had a rather depressing conversation about this on Thursday (and nothing to do with the quiz we attended Thursday, which was fine as ever) and decided that some quizmasters ‘are born bent, some achieve bentness, and some have bentness thrust upon them’. Brilliant.

So that’s it for this week, some new quizzes below, just to note that the Black Bull in Whetstone seems closed/under renovation so I’ll be removing the details from the site for the moment. And the Well in Muswell Hill has definitely closed.
