The great thing about the site now being in blog form is that I can think up silly titles for each new post.  Most of them are drawn from song lyrics and if they have a vague relevance to pub quizzes, well and good.  However, ’strain on the brain’ might be a bit of an overstatement for the last few quizzes I’ve attended. Quizzes seem to be heading towards the general-ist, trivial-ish, popular culture type questions.  And no harm in a way, because the quizzes where the QM is trying to prove he’s the cleverest person in the room are a bit unbearable.  But sometimes you want questions that are a bit more challenging…  maybe that means, after a long break, it’s time for me to go back to the Elephant in North Finchley on Monday night.
