Seemed like a good title for a post, as it’s the song I’m uploading at the moment!  I hope the quiz world has been treating you all well.  The night before I went away I was at the new-ish Sunday night quiz in the John Baird, Muswell Hill, which isn’t bad at all.  Essentially, it’s similar to the old Sunday night quiz in the Lion, Tottenham Lane, but better administered, with six themed rounds. On the night I was there and on a previous night the QM decided he wasn’t going to do all six, and I’m not sure whether this is now a regular thing.  £1 per person entry, cash prize (just for first place, I believe).  A welcome alternative on a Sunday.

I got a mail during the week from a pub manager looking for details on how to start a new quiz.  I am no expert on this but I replied with what I thought the various alternatives are.  As I get this query from time to time, I will tidy up what I wrote and place it as an accessible article on the site so that it’s there for reference.  In addition, I get queries about whether I know quizmasters who would be prepared to do a regular or one-off event, so if you are one and would like to send me your contact details, do so and I’ll pass them on as appropriate.
